Herbert Green Middle School Herbert Green Middle School is located in Placerville, near Highway 50, in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.

We serve 400 fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students in the Mother Lode Union School District. ysical development, social and emotional growth, and respect for self and others. Herbert Green strives to maintain a clean, safe, organized school, with a positive school climate, where students, parents and staff are welcome, comfortable, and treated with respect. The Herbert Green staff believes that all students can and want to learn. In addition, they expect students to meet the expectations of the California Content Standards and Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in the core subject areas. Curriculum, instruction, and staff development to support and improve teaching and learning are based on current research and sound educational practice.

We had a fantastic Career Day last week! Our students loved getting to visit with and talk to all of our amazing businesses and vendors who were able to join us. Mr. Keane, one of our amazing science teachers, and his students, have been hard at work growing our beautiful gardens around campus for the last couple of years. These gardens offer students hands-on learning experience about the importance of fresh food and healthy environments, in addition to making our campus look beautiful! We would love to be able to expand and grow additional gardens. In order to do this, we need your assistance. We are asking for donations of supplies and/or gift cards. If you are able to help, please take a look at the attached flyer for specific items needed. Donations can be brought to the office.
