How many of you would be interested in a weekly Wabi-Sabi Social Club group? I'd like to open up play groups at Exhilaration Station on an evening during the week or earlier in the day on Fridays. The goal is developing longterm friendships, and all on the social emotional skills that go along with that. I'm flexible on the ages of participants and would rather determine groups based on interests and skills. Ideas for interests groups: physical play, LOL Dolls, Legos, Anime, Plants, etc. Group theme will be driven by the children's interests. Children of all abilities welcome! .station

ATTENTION EL DORADO COUNTY!

Given the huge demand for educational enrichment, socialization, tutoring, etc., I am gathering information about what our local children need, and providers who can provide for those needs. I don't want to just blindly start classes. I want to create a program that truly fits what the students in our community need.

Some ideas I already have: music, voice, art, PE, reading, writing, math, science, history, cooking, budgeting, social groups for each age group, social groups for various special interests (D&D, plants, pets, space, anime, legos, Disney), job prep, independent living, tutoring (including specialties for Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, etc.), Behavioral support for everyone, including ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrom, or no diagnosis. I'd LOVE to have support for neurodivergent individuals in classes as well as support groups/special interest groups where they can be with others who have similar interests and where friendships can grow. I'm more interested in building lifelong connections and friendships between students than what I typically see in simple, one-semester or six-week "classes" that most social groups provide. Let's build a life together!

Welcome to my new page! My name is Yvonne Johnson. I have a Masters in Teaching with a Specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the El Dorado/Sacramento area since 2011 and Clinical Director since 2019. I started homeschooling my 4 kids in 2020 and started to feel my passion shifting towards the homeschool community.
