A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents and guardians who joined us for Back to School Night! We truly appreciate you taking the time to come out, meet your child’s teacher, learn more about the school year ahead, and be an important part of your child’s education. Fall session after-school enrichment class registration begins Monday, August 24. Brochures will be sent home in your child’s backpack this week, and copies are also attached for your review.
After-school enrichment classes are a fun and exciting way for your child to learn new skills, explore interests, build confidence, and make new friends in a supportive environment.
Registration details and forms are available on the Sierra school website under “Parents.” You may print the forms ahead of time and bring them with you when you register. Flyers and registration forms will also be available in the school office.

Please review the grade levels, class expectations, and dates carefully before registering your child.

To successfully register your child, you must bring BOTH:
A completed registration form
Cash or check for payment
Please note: Classes fill quickly! We recommend arriving in the morning to register your child at Sierra for the best chance of securing a spot.

We look forward to another great season of after-school enrichment!

Back to School Night is coming up this week on Thursday, August 20th!

TK–2nd Grade: Parents/guardians should meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at 6:00 p.m.
3rd–5th Grade: Parents/guardians should meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at 7:00 p.m.

Fingerprinting services will be available for $25, and computers will be set up in Room 9 for anyone who would like to complete the Mandated Reporter Training. Please note: All adults who plan to work with children at school, in classrooms, or on field trips MUST BE FINGERPRINTED and complete the Mandated Reporter Training.

This is an important event for parents/guardians to attend. You’ll have the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, learn about the upcoming school year and what to expect, and discover ways you can help support your child’s success. If possible, we kindly ask that children stay home for this event.

*The library will be open from 6:00–8:00 p.m. for pop-in visits.

**Jasso’s Taqueria will also be on campus, so you can grab a bite to eat before or after meeting with your child’s teacher. We hope to see you there!

Don’t forget, in order to be on campus (helping in the classroom, visiting for lunch, chaperoning field trips, etc) you must be fingerprinted with our district AND complete the Mandated Reporter Training.

Our first School Board meeting of the 2026–2027 school year will be held next Wednesday, August 19, at 6:00 p.m. in the District Office Board Room. Members of the public are welcome to attend, providing community members with an opportunity to observe the proceedings and address the Board during designated public comment periods.
