Pond's Music

Pond's Music Piano Lessons I began playing piano at the age of 4, learning from the best teacher, my grandfather. We will set weekly goals and celebrate milestones.

Fun fact, I was able to read music before I could read words! He was my inspiration for playing, and I find the most joy in playing songs that I remember him playing when I was young - Debussy's Clair De Lune and Chopin's Waltz in E Minor. I've accompanied choirs and soloists, played for church, and weddings. I studied music in college until I switched my major to social work, and music theory was

my favorite course! I've recently decided to end my career in social work, and want to dedicate my time to teaching music. My focus is technicality and theory which will provide new students with a great foundation that will enable them to read music. Additionally, as students progress, I will begin to incorporate classical pieces into their lessons, and may even have some composition challenges. Learning an instrument should be both challenging and fun!!
