Pond's Music Piano Lessons I began playing piano at the age of 4, learning from the best teacher, my grandfather. We will set weekly goals and celebrate milestones.

Fun fact, I was able to read music before I could read words! He was my inspiration for playing, and I find the most joy in playing songs that I remember him playing when I was young - Debussy's Clair De Lune and Chopin's Waltz in E Minor. I've accompanied choirs and soloists, played for church, and weddings. I studied music in college until I switched my major to social work, and music theory was my favorite course! I've recently decided to end my career in social work, and want to dedicate my time to teaching music. My focus is technicality and theory which will provide new students with a great foundation that will enable them to read music. Additionally, as students progress, I will begin to incorporate classical pieces into their lessons, and may even have some composition challenges. Learning an instrument should be both challenging and fun!!

I'm conducting a sample session of my Fall class, Musical Melodies, next Tuesday, August 6th, at 2PM at Jubilate. If your child (6-18) is interested in participating, let me know!

Even if you don't intend on your child participating in my class in the fall, I would love them to participate in my sample session!!

Because I'm creating the curriculum myself, I'm interested to gain feedback (positive and constructive) from the kids at this session so that I can provide the best class for my students this fall.

I'm asking for $5-$10 per participant to help with material costs, and I may ask that you complete a survey after the class. If you're interested in participating with your child, let me know 🙂
