Charles Wagner was a German immigrant who came to California to seek gold. After he and his brothers experienced success mining gold, Wagner and a friend went to Montana and herded sheep back to California. It was in 1871 that he purchased the 100 acres of land that included this land for $1.50 an acre, with the intent to graze sheep and start a vineyard. Wagner said he was attracted to his land b

Let’s hear it for Mrs. Stephanie West! You may know her from seeing her volunteer at many Wagner events, welcoming wildcats in the morning, rocking on PTA, teaching computer, shining at paint night, or because your child talks about her. She is behind and in front of the scenes doing so much for the Wagner community. Her heart is huge and her spirit generous. Thank you for all you do! Stephanie is Wagner’s 2026 Community Honoree and we are so lucky to have her! Woot woot! Thank you, Stephanie!
