Care-a-lot of Pittsford Hello and welcome to Care-a-lot of Pittsford. We are located at 211 Tobey Road. Our hours of operation are 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Our facility is in a quiet residential area of Pittsford, less than a ten-minute drive to numerous highways. We have been at this location since 1965 and are very much embedded in the Pittsford community.

Sometimes children need extra time to observe a bug crawling across the sidewalk, ask endless questions about flowers, or stop and collect rocks during a walk outside. While these moments may seem small, they’re often where meaningful learning begins.

Children don’t always learn best by sitting quietly at a table.

For many children, learning happens through movement, exploration, observation, and curiosity about the world around them. Outdoor experiences give children opportunities to ask questions, solve problems, build confidence, and discover new things at their own pace.

Sometimes it happens during a nature walk, while watching ants carry food, comparing rocks by shape and size, or asking questions about the flowers blooming outside. These simple moments may look like play, but they’re also helping children build important skills in science, math, creativity, communication, and problem-solving.

In our classrooms, a simple question can lead to meaningful conversations and exciting discoveries.

Rather than rushing to provide answers, our teachers ask thoughtful, open-ended questions that encourage children to wonder, explore, and think for themselves.
