Bass is easily the most misunderstood instrument in the band... it's even misunderstood by bass players!
You'll see ads everywhere for "Guitar AND bass lessons", given by the same instructor.
What this means is that a guitar player is trying to make more money by offering lessons on an instrument they can "get by" on, but really don't know how to play appropriately... and the student suffers as a result.
The longer an aspiring bassist studies with a guitar player who's "winging it", the more they will have to fix when they try to approach the instrument from a bassist's perspective.
Our bass instructor, Seth Horan, has been guiding bassists of all levels towards their musical goals for over twenty years, and is now accepting new students (ages 13 and up).
