RECORD BROKEN! ❄️🛩️

History was just made on the frozen surface of Lake Winnipesaukee! The Alton Bay Ice Runway (B18) has officially set a new seasonal landing record.

With 42 aircraft touching down this past Monday, the 2026 season total has reached 774 landings - surpassing the previous record of 764 set in 2025! 🏆

As the only FAA-approved ice runway in the lower 48 states, Alton Bay has become a true winter pilgrimage for pilots. From Super Cubs to Cirrus SR22s, the 2026 season is proving that general aviation is more alive (and colder!) than ever.

Is a landing at B18 on your "Aviation Bucket List," or is the idea of landing on 12 inches of ice a big "no thanks" for you? 🧊✈️
