Thank you, thank you, thank you! We deeply appreciate the amazing generosity of our members and friends who have answered our Social Action Committee’s High Holy Day appeal to help the Pittsfield Community Food Pantry. This pantry has the highest volume of participants in Berkshire County on a weekly basis, and your help goes a long way in making sure our community members don’t go hungry.

If you still wish to help, you still have time until the end of this week! The pantry is most in need of non-perishables - pasta, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, rice, cereal, and soup.

Thank you again for helping in this critically important Tikkun Olam project!

Once again this year, the Temple Social Action Committee is conducting a non-perishable food drive to benefit the Pittsfield Community Food Pantry, a critical local organization which provides resources for thousands of individuals every week.

The pantry is in need of items including peanut butter, pasta, rice, cereal, spaghetti sauce, and soup. Please grab a bag, fill it, and return it to Temple between now and Yom Kippur so that we can help do our part to fulfill our Tikkun Olam mission for our neighbors.

Thank you to all who have already contributed to this important cause!

Maggie Haberman, White House Correspondent for The New York Times, spoke to a capacity crowd, both in-person at Temple and online, for the 59th Annual Hilda Vallin Feigenbaum Memorial Foundation Lecture!

Ms. Haberman, a Pulitzer Prize winning author and journalist, spoke on the current political landscape, the upcoming election cycle, and the relationship between government and the media.

The Feigenbaum Lecture continues to be one of the most looked forward to events in our greater community, as it has brought world leaders in politics, journalism, culture, and Jewish life to Pittsfield to share experiences and insight with our audience. This series was established in 1967 by Drs. Armand and Donald Feigenbaum (both of blessed memory) as a living tribute to their mother, and we are happy and honored to continue this tradition and legacy.

Our special thanks go out to the members of the Feigenbaum Lecture Committee who work year-round to ensure the success of this event, as well as Sherry and Dave in the Temple office for all of their work in making this event possible!
