Join us this evening at 6pm for WAM's forum to explore "The World of Louisa May". Below is a message from the director about what to expect:

"Rooted in the world of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, we’ll explore the small hints of family ritual within what has been called “a distinctly mother-centric fictional universe.”

What are the rituals—large or small—that make us feel at home? What do we carry with us from our families, and what helps us feel rooted in our own creative lives?

We’ll move between a close reading of Chapter 1, movement, conversation, and generating new material. I’ll bring the text, movement prompts, and questions, and invite everyone to bring their own memories, experiences, and curiosity into the room.

Come ready to read, move, make, and follow whatever sparks. Please wear comfortable clothing, as we’ll be moving!"

Good morning everyone. A reminder that WAM is leading an open Forum for our Fall show, "The World of Louisa May", on Tuesday, 09/15 at 6pm in K111. The forum will explore the show’s themes, collaborative creation and devised theatre process. All are welcomed!

Auditions are next Thursday and Friday (09/17 & 09/18) in the Robert Boland Theatre! Actors should come prepared with a 2-3 minute monologue of any genre (memorized). Additionally, actors may also bring in a short poem, but this doesn't need to be memorized.
