Pittsfield Public Schools announced a half day for elementary schools only tomorrow, Friday, December 12, 2025.

👩‍🏫 Herberg Middle School will still have a regular full school day. So middle school students should plan for a normal schedule.

🕣 Time: 8:30 a.m. (students report to homeroom by 7:45 a.m.)
📍 Location: Back field behind the library
🎓 Dress Code:
Suggested attire includes a collared shirt and dress pants, skirt/top, dress pants/top, or a dress. Please ensure students follow the school dress code.
🪑 Please bring your own lawn chair(s)

📣 Hello Grade 8 Herberg Families!
We’re all looking forward to Monday’s 8th Grade Trip to Six Flags (06/16/25)! Here are a few important reminders to help the day go smoothly:

🎢 1. Water Park Access
Please note: the water park will not be open during our trip. Students should not bring a bathing suit.

📱 2. Pick-Up Info & Communication
Students will be allowed to text/call home when we’re about 30 minutes away (exiting through Lee). 🚫 There is no late bus, so it’s essential that families are at Herberg by 4:30 PM for pick-up. Any major changes will be shared via ParentSquare.

🥪 3. What to Bring
Herberg will provide lunch, and students do not need to bring anything on the bus.
🎒 Bags will be checked before loading and again at the park. Six Flags is cashless, so please plan accordingly. More info is available on the Six Flags website.

☁️ 4. Weather & Sun Protection
There is no rain date. The forecast looks overcast but dry — please remind students to apply sunscreen, as they’ll be outside for most of the day.

📄 5. Eligibility
Families of students who are ineligible to attend due to behavior contract violations have already been contacted and received written notice.
