π I See Watermelon! π
Today we explored all things watermelon! The children practiced their fine motor skills by hammering pins into a watermelon, experimenting with banging hard and soft to discover which method worked best. We also worked on our scooping skills by scooping out watermelon and enjoying a delicious, healthy treat. Learning through hands-on exploration made for a fun and tasty day! :::

Today was all about watermelon! π We practiced recognizing the letter W by dotting the letter W for watermelon. The children also worked on number recognition counting as they jumped on watermelon numbers from 0β4. Fine motor skills were strengthened by rolling a watermelon, and we ended our lesson with a fun sensory activity, squishing pieces of watermelon and exploring its texture.

This morning, we took a deep dive back into our fish lesson! The children enjoyed fishing for colorful fish, counting goldfish as they placed them into their fish bowls, and matching fish to the correct colored fish bowl. To finish our ocean adventure, the children created their own tissue paper fish masterpieces, exploring creativity while strengthening their fine motor skills. What a fun-filled morning under the sea! ππ¦π

The young and older toddlers spent their morning outdoors participating in blended lesson activities. Some children enjoyed fishing for magnetic fish and matching them to the correct colored fish bowls, while others explored nature by searching for insects. The children practiced problem-solving, color recognition, fine motor skills, and observation as they learned through play and exploration.
