Mrs. Maffei’s US history classes recently presented their “decades projects”! Each group had to thoroughly research a decade and create a presentation including the popular fashion, recipes, music, and more from that time.

Each month, Fr. John Kist, ‘15, meets with interested students during their lunch periods to discuss a theological topic beyond what is covered in the classroom, plus cookies are provided! This month, Fr. Kist met with students to talk about peace, anxiety and faith. This session broke open the Scriptures to allow students to dive in deeper to their faith and receive the gift of peace that Christ wants to give them.

Seton LaSalle Catholic High School is proud to welcome Shawn Holup as our new Athletic Director. Mr. Holup has served as a teacher, coach, athletic director, dean of students, vice principal, interim principal, and assistant principal, and currently serves as the Private School Representative on the WPIAL Executive Board of Directors. He will help carry forward Seton LaSalle’s rich tradition of athletic excellence while ensuring that our student-athletes continue to develop as young men and women who compete with integrity, represent our community with pride, and live out Gospel values both on and off the field and court. Students in our Frassati-Molla Scholars Program welcomed the Honorable Judge D. Michael Fisher for the final session of the "Meet the Leader" speaker series. Judge Fisher is a Senior United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Former Attorney General of Pennsylvania. He also serves as the Distinguished Jurist in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Recently, Mr. Norman’s physics class went to Boyce Park on a field trip. They got to test their studies in the classroom in real life! Rock climbing relates to a number of physics principles that the students study in class, like classical mechanics, center of mass, forces, and torque.

Recently, our Gala ticket top selling homeroom got a visit from Cannoli the therapy dog! Students got to enjoy some time outside and snuggles. Thank you to Kelly from Say It Once Dog Training for bringing Cannoli to visit!

Dr. Spore took his AP Chemistry class on a field trip to the Kamin Science Center. They did CPR training, the high jump, 3d pen artwork, and the physics smash lab, where the students were volunteers! Thank you to the Kamin Science Center for this fun and educational outing.
