A Pitt internship will give students valuable business experience — and community groups a helping hand 11/18/2025

The Elsie Hillman Civic Forum is excited to announce the Forum's newest program, the Doris Carson Williams Internship! This internship will be available to two business students each academic year. Students will be selected through a competitive process and then join the Elsie Honors Scholars program and cohort. Applications will open in Spring 2026.

Last week was Civic Action Week 2025 on campus celebrating the theme “Enriching the Community Together.” On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the Elsie Hillman Civic Forum hosted a powerful panel discussion featuring three outstanding student alumni — Nasrin Nahnooch, Ilan Ziv, and Mariam Moaz who shared their experiences in civic engagement and community-based work through the forum.

From collaborating with community organizations to working directly in elected officials’ offices, their stories are a testament to the impact young leaders can make through meaningful civic action.
