ICYMI: Pittsburgh Public Theater announced on Saturday our newest initiative to reach out and invite the community in, a program called Theater For All. The Public aims to be in and of the community, and part of that means throwing our doors wide open for everyone. Through this program, which was inspired by our friends at Bricolage Theater Company, free tickets to every future Season 48 mainstage production will be available.
How does it work? About a month before each show opens we’ll hold our Free For All, when a limited number of free tickets will be released on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be claimed by using a promo code online or by calling the Box Office at 412.316.1600. Promo codes will be published on our website and social media at the start of each Free For All, so mark your calendars and look out for reminders!
Who is this for? Everyone! We hope the initiative helps reduce barriers to the arts for people who otherwise may not attend. We can’t wait to see you at The O'Reilly!

Food assistance payments (SNAP) have come early, but have to last until March. If this is keeping you and your family up at night wondering if you can put food on the table, we're here to help. On Sunday, January 27th, at noon, we'll be overstocking our kitchen to put together care packages (one gallon of whole milk, one loaf of bread, one dozen eggs, and a pound of butter) and giving them away at our shop. Show your SNAP card and treat your family to ice cream sundaes (up to four) while you're here. We are confident we have enough stock to serve everyone. Please stop by! Our address: 2801 Penn Avenue in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, 15222.

Another great resource for keeping our kids fed over the summer via No Kid Hungry:
If you have a school-aged student in need of breakfast and lunch this summer, simply text FOOD to 877877 and receive a message back to the closest place where they can get free summer meals. Or call the Hunger Hotline at 1.866.348.6479 for immediate assistance.

Hello Friends of the Backpack Initiative at Linden,
We are working on gathering a last pack of the year for the children we serve, a generous neighbor is donating food and there are 40 bags left that Linden's Mrs Getty has donated (string backpacks and some cloth shopping bags) we are looking for 50 more bags- string backpacks or cloth shopping bags. Is there anyone out there sitting on leftover corporate giveaway swag that can help us out?
I will pick up, if necessary.
Thank you!
