Crafton Children's Corner

Crafton Children's Corner is hosting a yard sale at our Banksville location on July 15th and 16th! We are located at 2644 Banksville Rd, Pittsburgh Pa. All proceeds will be going towards the school age field trip. Please come out and help support us! We will be there on July 15th from 9am - 2pm and on July 16th from 9am - 12pm! Come and see what treasures you can find!

Recently our Banksville Preschool and Pre-K Counts children celebrated their 100th day of school. Miss Lynne had the children work on their 100 day posters in class. Miss Lynne brought items to class and the children were allowed to pick what they wanted to use for their 100 day posters. The children did a great job on their posters. Preschool took another approach. Miss Terri and Miss Hayley wanted to get the families involved in the 100 day project. So the poster paper was sent home with the freedom to create any kind of 100 day poster. It was amazing to see that all of the Preschool families worked together to create their own 100 day posters. It was refreshing to see so many different ideas. We love to include the families in our daily learning and special activities at school. When we work together, the children benefit in so many ways!

Banksville celebrated Dr Seuss and our love of reading all week long! We had spirit days where the children and teachers participated every day! We also invited our families to join us in sharing a special book. We had several Mystery Readers sharing stories through Zoom with our Preschool class and our Pre-K Counts class. We appreciate all of the families who took time to read to us. Our classes loved all of the stories! Our last Mystery Reader was our very own Miss Lynne. It was so great to see her!

Happy Holidays from Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank!

Please join us Wednesday, December 14th at our Mt. Pleasant Hub for a Toy, Formula, & Book giveaway from 12-5pm. We'll be distributing one Lego set per family (consisting of three sets inside the package) donated by Baby2Baby so a huge thank you goes out to them for this donation, formula from ByHeart, and a children's book.

Also, please note that our Point Breeze and Mt. Pleasant locations will be closed from December 23rd through January 2nd so our staff can enjoy time with their families. Mt. Pleasant Hub will not have open office hours on December 22nd or December 29th. Our last open office hours for 2022 will be Thursday, December 15th.
