Welcome to the Pack, Class of 2039! Thanks to the families who joined us on the playground last night – we're so bummed that the playdate was cut short because of the rain. We have a few other back-to-school events planned, just for you:

Join us on the first day of Kindergarten, Thursday, August 20, for coffee & kleenex! Enjoy cookies and coffee (and maybe a kleenex) after sending your little one off. After morning drop off, meet us on the playground. And for afternoon drop off, you can find us in front of the school.

And because starting kindergarten is a big milestone – not just for students, but for families too – we have a new initiative to help you feel welcomed, connected, and supported as you begin your journey at our school. Through 'Welcome to the Pack,' incoming families can choose to be connected with a returning school family who can answer everyday school questions, share helpful tips and encouragement, help families feel more connected to the school community, and offer support during the transition to elementary school. The WES Learning Garden is thriving! In preparation for the start of the school year, we're planning a garden clean up on Sunday, August 9 from 10-11:30am. Bring along garden gloves and any favorite gardening tools, brown lawn waste bags are a bonus.

WES faculty and staff are hard at work getting ready for the new school year! The PTA is kicking off the year with a Welcome Back Luncheon for faculty and staff on August 13. If you're able, please send a donation to the WES PTA Venmo: Thank you!

Calling all kindergarten families! We can't wait to see you this Wednesday, August 5 at the Kindergarten Playground Playdate! Join us at 6pm on the WES playground to meet new friends and families and play together.

Mark your calendar! There are so many ways to celebrate the new school year, reunite with classmates, and meet new friends. Join us!

All WES families are encouraged to join us on August 13 for the Welcome Back Celebration and Teacher Meet and Greet! This annual event to kick off the school year starts at 5:30pm on the playground to reunite with classmates and meet new friends. Starting at 6:30pm, the teacher meet and greet welcomes students into the building to see their classroom and meet their teachers.

Looking for your student's 26/27 schedule? Student schedules are now available on the PowerSchool Portal!

NEW THIS YEAR! Before you can access your student's schedule, families and students in grades 4-12 will need to log in to their PowerSchool Portal (through LeboID) to sign off on their School Handbook and Technology Agreements. For help accessing your LeboID, visit www.mtlsd.org/LeboID

Want to get involved this year? We're looking for a Science Fair Co-Chair to join our experienced Science Fair team. This is a great opportunity to learn the ropes alongside two seasoned chairs, help plan and coordinate the event, and ensure a smooth transition for future years.
