🌱🍅 Look What Our Garden Has Grown! 🍅🌱

While our students and teachers have been enjoying their summer break, the garden they worked so hard on last spring has been busy growing—with a little help from our Lord above! 💚

Over the summer, we’ve harvested, blanched, and frozen some of our beautiful green pole beans and chard, and there is still so much waiting for us when school begins! 🌿

When our students return, they’ll find:
🫑 Green peppers
🍅 Lots of tomatoes
🧅 Green onions
🌱 More pole beans
🌸 Beautiful rhubarb and zinnias

Picking it all may be quite the challenge! 😊

There’s something so special about watching our students’ hard work come to life in the garden. We love seeing the colors, the growth, and—most of all—the opportunity for our children to experience the joy of planting, nurturing, and harvesting something together.

And the vegetables we’ve frozen will have a special purpose—we’ll be using them in a delicious vegetable dish for our Harvest Festival in November! 🍂

We can’t wait to see our gardeners back in the garden! 🌻

🚧✨ It’s official — the paving project is complete!

We are incredibly grateful to our generous community members, donors, alumni, and the Glencairn Foundation for making this transformational project a reality. Your support has helped create a safer, more welcoming space for our students, families, and staff.

As we prepare to open our doors for a new school year, we cannot wait to welcome students back to our beautiful campus, complete with a newly paved parking area and a safe, finished playground space for all to enjoy.

Imagine walking into school every morning, doing your best, and leaving each day feeling like you failed.

At Pittsburgh New Church School, our teachers don't just educate—they inspire, encourage, and help students rediscover the joy of learning. Today, we're excited to reintroduce Ms. Erin Cu***ng! ❤️

"For me, one of the greatest joys is seeing our students not only love coming to school, but actually miss it during breaks! I feel the same way—I truly love being here and believe deeply in the important work we do every day."

Ms. Erin is continually amazed by the incredible growth she sees in her students. She knows that success comes from meeting each child where they are, providing individualized instruction, and creating a nurturing environment where every student feels seen, supported, and capable.

Her passion is deeply personal. Having watched her own child struggle in a traditional school setting, Ms. Erin understands the heartache families experience when their child's needs aren't being met.
