Welcome to 248! This art classroom is where our 3rd to 8th grade students attend art. It’s a little bare since we just started school and it’s not filled with all the amazing artwork my students create, but wait a few weeks!
My students know that 248 is filled with my love for tacos, llamas, cactuses, and artwork! We even have our very own “listening llama” where students can leave me a note if they don’t feel comfortable sharing out loud. Our art class flows a lot in small groups and independent work, so you can see our crates where we organize each of our centers. As you can see the art teacher in me is also obsessed with the rainbow so we organize all of our stuff by colors! 248 is probably my favorite room in the building and not just because of it being the art room. It’s the windows! How can you not be inspired by all that natural light! So scroll through our snap shots and enjoy room 248, where everyone is welcome!❤️

Miss Eiker Monday! This Monday I wanted to show all of you some of my artwork. Here is a collection I did one summer at an Art Teacher summer school. I played around with mixed media and doing anatomical drawings (human anatomy drawings). Before choosing my major in Art education, I wanted to become a doctor and was always fascinated by the human body. Throughout college I created a lot of work that dealt with human anatomy and the brain. This collection is one of my favorites and I have it hanging in my studio/office.
