The winter season invites us to turn our attention inward and practice the art of slowing down. This workshop will consist of a yin practice honoring the solstice; a turning point in the year. We will move slowly and use stillness to make space in the body and soothe the mind, allowing you to delve deep into relaxation.

Class will end with a bespoke yoga nidra meditation, sometimes referred to as a ‘yogic sleep’, intended to let you drift off to a still, soothing place.

🕯️Open to members and non members

Winter candle lit yin practice is on the horizon. I’m so excited to share this space to move slow. The winter solstice is one of my favorite times of year and a perfect time to lean into longer holds + stillness. 🕯️✨

This month’s full moon 🌕 is a time to celebrate the harvest season and is commonly known as the corn moon. Alternative names highlight the changing seasons making it the Autumn Moon (Cree),Falling Leaves Moon (Ojibwe), Leaves Turning Moon (Anishinaabe), Moon of Brown Leaves (Lakota),Yellow Leaf Moon (Assiniboine). ✨🍂

Energetically we may reflect on the cycle of renewal and harvesting in our own lives. A time of introspection, letting go while holding space for the juxtapositions that our own inner evolution needs. Where do you need to let things fall away to move into this new beginning?

I've been planning this class for awhile and am so excited to offer this journey through yin, restorative and yoga nidra. https://www.ascendclimbing.com/programs/yoga/yoga-schedule

This workshop has been a dream of mine for a few years and I’m so excited to lead it on February 16th .

As we transition into the threshold of the winter this will provide space to reconnect to rest and act as a sacred pause. Expect a brief overview of yin vs restorative yoga. I will incorporate a few yin poses to loosen tension and find quiet time for rest and contemplation in restorative shapes. Then lead us into creating our yoga nidra nest’s to set up for meditation.

Yoga nidra helps us awaken to a profound sense of clarity, deep relaxation and better sleep. It also supports the release of physical tension, aiding in muscle relaxation and reduces pain. Regular practice helps balance the nervous system, promoting a sense of inner peace and rejuvenation. This worship is open to all levels of experience. 🙏🏻✨
