It's What's Inside = catch it on NETFLIX. Best MIND-F flick I've seen in a long time.

I just rewatched MANHUNTER (Red Dragon) - Micheal Mann's epic follow-up to his amazing Jimmy Cann opus THIEF (of which DRIVE is a scene-for-scene homage) -- but -- this film reminded me we somehow lost WILLIAM PETERSON in the shuffle -- the dude should have been the major leading man of the 80s -- only made two significant films -- MANHUNTER and the burnt-out-cops-go-rogue masterpiece TO LIVE AND DIE IN LA. He dominated the screen in both films. As far as I can tell, he spent the rest of his career in the CSI gulag -- well-paid but a complete waste of his carnivorous talent.

I have an untested theory that any poem can be improved by adding the tagline from Pet Sematary: "SOMETIMES DEAD IS BETTER" as the final line. But I've been wrong before.
Would it have killed Jeremy Saulnier to call REBEL RIDGE something like RED RIDGE just so we could have a "three colors trilogy" of great thrillers?
I finally rewatched TANGO & CASH. It holds up well but still has one central problem: There is too much TANGO and not enough CASH. Teri Hatcher delivers nuanced work as Tango's sister despite the lurid vibe Stallone gives off, clearly in heat during their scenes together, to the point that maybe HE should have played Cash. And if that was the case, the titular characters would have been perfectly balanced. But instead of picking the film apart, we should all just be happy the film exists. At least, that's where I've landed on the issue.

SUBJECT: Turkey
Driving towards REDACTED, I hit the brakes to avoid hitting a wild turkey strutting across the narrow two-lane road. The creature was massive, with a body that weighed at least 18 delicious pounds, topped off by the gobbler's trademark sc***um face.
After I stopped my vehicle, the turkey paused to glare, its eyes like two tiny black orbs. The air between us crackled with the fowl's malevolence.
I remained motionless until this dark emperor of the underbrush had slaked its thirst on my psychic tears.
End of report.
