The Glen Montessori School is dedicated to providing an enriching Montessori educational environment where all children are encouraged to grow to their fullest potential. The lead teacher relies on their observations of the children to determine which new activities and materials to introduce. Their aim is to encourage active, self-directed learning and to strike a balance of individual mastery wi

th small group collaboration within the classroom community. What differentiates The Glen from other schools is the caring environment and parent participation. Our school truly is the “village” that is raising our children.

Celebrating 40 Years of The Glen Montessori School!

On August 11, 1986, The Glen Montessori School officially became a nonprofit organization—a dream shared by six Sewickley Valley mothers who wanted something special for their children: a Montessori education that would allow them to grow, explore, and learn in their own way.

Forty years later, that vision continues to guide The Glen. From those first students to the 250 children and families who are part of our community today, we’re celebrating 40 years of honoring each child’s unique journey, nurturing independence, and building a lifelong love of learning.

Summer Camp is about so much more than traveling the world!

Along with exploring different countries and cultures, campers also discover the incredible wildlife right here in Pennsylvania.

This week's Nature class was all about beavers! Campers learned how these amazing animals build dams and lodges, why they're known as nature's engineers, and how they help create habitats for other wildlife.

From around the world to our own backyard, every week is full of curiosity and hands-on learning!
