Well, you win some, you lose some. πŸ’šπŸ†βš½οΈ
SPS Varsity soccer lost a tightly contested match 1-0 in the Diocesan Championship game to Saints Peter and Paul Congratulations to Coaches Dan Kirsch and Hector Lozano, and to all the players from St. Philip and St. Margaret who played together as one team and had a stellar season. Best of luck to our 8th grade players as they head off to high school!

Because they won their section during the regular season, SPS JV soccer bypassed the playoffs and landed straight in the Diocesan Championship game on Sunday night. Exhibiting superiority on offense and defense, SPS JV soccer are your Diocesan Champs, following their rousing defeat of Blessed Trinity Academy, 3-1! πŸŽ‰πŸ†
A goal by Colby Lane and two goals by Mason Foster put the game out of reach for BTA. Players of the game were Mason Foster, Averie Strohm, Dashiell Sargent, and Shae Trombetta, and Mason Foster was MVP. Congratulations to Coaches Colin Wrabley, Joe Allen, Hector Lozano, and Jim Smith, and to all the players from St. Philip and St. Margaret who made up this outstanding team, for all their hard work this season!πŸ’šπŸ†βš½οΈ

Congratulations to SPS alum, James! πŸŽ“ Great Beginnings Last a Lifetime! πŸ’š Best wishes at University of Pittsburgh!! 🌟

OLSH πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸŽ“
Meet James!

Future Plans: I plan to attend the University of Pittsburgh for Chemical Engineering.

Favorite OLSH Memory: My fondest OLSH memory would be performing on the Benedum Center stage for the Gene Kelly Awards my sophomore year. It was something I never thought I would be able to do and we had a great group of people in that cast.

What legacy would you like to leave? I would like to leave a legacy of putting your service forward to OLSH. At OLSH I found a plethora of activities and service projects to be a part of which helped make OLSH the environment it is. I hope that people after me will continue to help OLSH and be a part of many groups to make it the best place to be.

Why OLSH?
OLSH is truly a family and everyone here has been able to find so many great friends and faculty members to get to know and help them on their journey through high school. There are also so many different groups I joined where I found so many amazing people and things I loved to do.

Congratulations SPS Alum, Isabella! πŸŽ“ Great beginnings last a lifetime! πŸ’š Blessings to you on your future endeavors!! 🌟

OLSH πŸ’œπŸ’›πŸŽ“
Meet Isabella

Plans after OLSH: I plan on attending La Roche University to study criminal justice

Favorite OLSH Memory: My fondest memory at OLSH would have to be going to the WPIAL championship my senior year not only because it was the first time in school history but because it was the last time I was playing with my team.

What legacy would you like to leave?
In my time here at OLSH, and especially on the soccer team, I hope I was able to leave an imprint on the younger players to never give up and that hard work definitely pays off.

Why OLSH?
I chose OLSH to have the opportunity of a better Catholic education.
