“Wild at Heart.”

Every ensemble at WGI shows up to perform their show, their skills, their version of success. It’s what makes this activity so unique. At Nomad, we build something our members bring to life and we’re proud to represent Pittsburgh and Western PA on a national stage.

Our 2026 production, Wild at Heart, explored a wide range of emotions and details, but what does it really mean to be “wild at heart”?

From the beginning, the design pulled from deeper inspiration. The music carried a raw, driving energy that became the (literal) heartbeat of the show. The floor mirrored the ventricles of a heart - everything rooted in something living, breathing, and human.

There was a constant push and pull in aggressive, chaotic moments balanced with space to breathe… to reset… to let the heart settle before it surged again.

But the answer of "What does Wild at Heart mean to us?" became clear the moment the final note rang out.

Not just on the floor, but in the lot after their finals performance. In the way this group held onto each other a little longer, in the tears, the laughter, the silence, the release after everything they had poured into the season. In the pride you could feel without a word being said. That’s where “wild at heart” became real. But the heart in what they do. Not performed, but lived.

In our 10th anniversary season, this group didn’t just perform. They added to the legacy, honoring everything that came before while pushing it forward.
