We’re thrilled to have been part of the Remake Learning Days ONEXONE event hosted by the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University’s new Robotics Innovation Center. For May the Fourth, our hosts joined “forces” with Project Baseplate and LEGO Education for some brick-themed activities. Our contribution? Playing on Common Ground: CMU Monster Game Helps Groups Work Across Differences Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have created an innovative way to practice working together and achieving a common goal. In Monsters of Appalachia, players learn how to build better movements through live action role play.

The CTP is spearheading a new interdisciplinary concentration that’s furthering understanding of how game‑based tools can generate richer data and open new pathways for studying how people think and learn.
