We’re thrilled to have been part of the Remake Learning Days ONEXONE event hosted by the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University’s new Robotics Innovation Center. For May the Fourth, our hosts joined “forces” with Project Baseplate and LEGO Education for some brick-themed activities. Our contribution? A creature combine built by attendees - all without being able to see what they were building. As promised, here’s the finished product:

The Center for Transformational Play’s "Monsters of Appalachia" is a live action role-playing game that turns cryptids, conflict, and community-building into a powerful learning experience - and is an example of the power of transformational play research at Carnegie Mellon University!

Playing on Common Ground: CMU Monster Game Helps Groups Work Across Differences Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have created an innovative way to practice working together and achieving a common goal. In Monsters of Appalachia, players learn how to build better movements through live action role play.
