Congratulations to my latest Artist’s Way : Chapel and Challenge cohort - Haley, Billy, Amanda, Jess, Lindsay, and Lenny!!

Completing the Artist’s Way is truly no small feat and I am so proud of you all. After this process, it is of course difficult to continue to follow the creative paths that unfold before you, but I know that as you continue to navigate your spiritual power, your most artistic life will begin to come into focus.

12 weeks is a long commitment but the journey of self intimacy and creative growth is a continual process- a lesson you learn over and over again. This commitment to yourself is a lifetime of achievement.

My friend Haley has graciously opened her space in Millvale, 7th Sense Salon, to host the Yawp Shop every Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 pm.

Group starts back up May 19th.

The purpose of the group is to express, sing with other people in the community, and have fun!!! No previous experience is required! We are here to have a cathartic and community building experience. Vocal warmups, improv singing, and cover songs abound !

BELLA FIGLIA, ELIZABETH JOAN HARRIS, IS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY, GENRE- FLUID ARTIST AND SOUND DESIGNER
Using piano, guitar, found sound from her own field recordings, Ableton, and her classically trained voice, elizabeth creates expansive soundscapes with expressive pop melodies. bella figlia extracts the divinity from the mundane, fuses the grotesque to the holy, and finds the sensual in the spiritual.

She’s been running her business for six years now doing music therapy, trans voice alteration, creative coaching, and music lessons. She’s incredibly excited to be able to celebrate her students and collaborators from the past half a decade plus !!!

Fran Mourning (she/they) is a grown up internet kid with a tech job and jaw problems. Over the past 6 years, she has been studying music with Elizabeth ~ a blend of piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, songwriting, & theory peppered with life lessons and incredible song recommendations.

When not making music, you may find Fran gardening, birdwatching, making mixed media art, blogging about blogging, thinking about the character, collecting sticks, micro-dosing existential dread, yearning & lurking.

Musical influences include the other weird kids, pop girlies, and at least one prog rock boy band from the 70s.

Casey Hausner is a nature lover, bird enthusiast, visual artist, saxophone player, and budding singer/songwriter.

New to guitar playing, Casey is beginning to explore their voice and creative style. While they play saxophone on stage regularly, this performance they will be exercising their courage and performing solo for the first time.
