Point Park University brings Conservatory auditions and student workshops to Bradenton!

This September, as part of the Conservatory's national audition schedule, in-person auditions will take place in Bradenton for the university's Pittsburgh-based fall 2027 class. The auditions will serve students who are interested in Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre and Performance and Creative Industries programs.

Point Park faculty members will also lead workshops at several Manatee County schools to introduce area high school students to the training, expectations and creative opportunities associated with a Point Park Conservatory education.

“These auditions and workshops are an important early step in building relationships with students, families, educators and the broader arts community in Manatee County,” said Marlin Collingwood, vice president of enrollment at Point Park University.

It was the first day of school for our Pioneers and they did not disappoint.

With aspirational goals like becoming president or a Broadway star to simply being an inspiration to others and remaining true to themselves – "When I grow up, I want to be me." ✨

And, of course, they asked if we could take their pic for their moms! ❤️

These students will take on the world their way without forgetting who supports them along the way. And we can't wait to see what they'll do next. We're excited that they're starting it all here, at Point Park.

Point Park University Pre-College Programs' inaugural Theatre and Entertainment Production Camp at Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse introduced high school students to the world of live production. 🎭

From scenery and costumes, to lighting and props, students learned all about what it takes to bring a show to life. 🧵 🎨

"This camp allows students to explore elements of production that they are not often allowed to participate in during their high school shows," said Cat Wilson, associate professor of theatre production.
