Anyone 18 years or older may join the HIV Prevention Research Registry to be contacted to participate in HIV prevention research studies. All are welcome to join- men, women, gay, straight, HIV-positive and HIV-negative! There is no compensation for joining the registry, however, if you are enrolled in a research study you will be compensated for your time and travel. Every study compensates differently based on what is involved in particpation. Only members of the HIV Prevention Research Registry staff will have access to your identifiable, self-reported medical information that is used in a confidential, HIPPA-directed manner. Visit the registry at www.hivregis.pitt.edu to complete the online conset form to enroll in the registry. You will then be emailed a password-protected link to answer some medical and social questions that will help us match you with a research study you may be interested in and eligible for!
