Have you ever had a moment when you talked yourself out of taking a shot at something you wanted but didn’t think you were ready for?

This video shares one of those moments for me and how I learned to Think Bigger and Play Bigger™.

If you or a member of your team is playing small and you want to learn more about the Momentum Sprint, send me a DM or email me at [email protected] to let me know the best way to find a time on your calendar.

Playing bigger often starts with one small conversation.

Where could one more stretch take you?

Not taking a leap.
Not reinventing yourself.
Not having everything figured out.

Just stretching a little further.

One more conversation.
One more application.
One more uncomfortable step.
One more attempt.

Most growth doesn't come from a giant breakthrough.

It comes from discovering you're capable of more than you thought.

How much momentum have you lost waiting for things to be perfect?

In 2021, I took my website down to become a full-time caregiver for my mom.

After she passed, I spent far too long trying to rebuild everything “the right way.”

Perfect branding.
Perfect messaging.
Perfect website.

This year, I introduced Think Bigger. Play Bigger.™
And I realized it is more than an offering.
It is a mindset.

You do not build something meaningful all at once.
You build it one brick at a time.

So the new website is live:
ImpactfulImprov.com

Still evolving.
Still growing.
More uniquely me than ever before.

Because momentum matters more than perfection.

What are you waiting to be perfect before you are willing to share it with the world?

Last night I attended the 20th Anniversary celebration for the Center for Women's Entrepreneurship at Chatham University (CWE).

I completed CWE’s Concept to Launch program just before the pandemic, and it played an important role in helping me grow my business during a pivotal season.

Last night, Dana Donaldson, CWE Advisory Board Chair said "Entrepreneurship is not a switch, it is a progression.”

So true.

It was also a great reminder that entrepreneurs don’t have to build alone. Programs and communities like CWE exist to provide support, education, and connection at every stage of the journey. While founded to support women in business, CWE’s services and events are open to all entrepreneurs.

Congratulations CWE on celebrating 20 years and continuing to help grow our region.

Every year, billions are lost in meetings that go nowhere.

But the real cost isn’t the time.

It’s the ideas that never get shared, the risks that stay hidden, and the momentum that never starts.

Most meetings look productive on paper.
Agendas get covered. Notes get taken. Action items get assigned.

But if clarity, buy-in, and forward movement don’t happen, the meeting missed the mark.

That’s why I created The Meeting Advantage Lab — a practical 50-minute live session built from 25+ years of leading, facilitating, and navigating high-stakes business meetings.

You’ll walk away with simple tools to:

• know when a meeting is needed (and when it’s not)

• create clearer decisions and next steps

• build stronger buy-in in the room

• make every meeting worth the investment of time

When: April 30 @ 1:00 PM US Eastern
Investment: $49

To reserve your seat, email [email protected]
and we’ll send you the details.

Do your meetings actually drive productivity, or just take up time?

Yes, some meetings could be replaced by an email.
But the right meetings do something else entirely.
They accelerate results.

Unfortunately, meetings often feel productive, but nothing actually moves forward.
Because of what happens in the room:
- Someone says something unclear, and no one asks for clarity
- A decision is almost made, then quietly drifts
- Everyone is waiting for someone else to take ownership
- Or the loudest person in the room takes over the conversation

That’s not a structure problem.
That’s not an agenda problem.
It’s an connection problem.

Connection in how we listen, how we respond, and how we move the conversation forward as a group.

And that’s something most leaders haven’t been taught.

Think about one meeting you’ve had so far this week.
How would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, and why?
1 = total waste of time to
10 = accelerated real progress toward your goals
Drop your number and your reason in the comments.

Bad meetings aren’t just frustrating.
They’re expensive.
And most teams don’t fix them in the moment.

So I’m introducing
The Meeting Advantage
A 50-minute working session focused on one thing—
how to make meetings actually drive decisions, ownership, and action.

No theory.
No generic frameworks.
Just what works in real time when conversations stall and nothing moves forward.

I’m keeping this introductory session small, limited to only 12 people.

If you want meetings that actually move the needle,
use the registration link in the comments to secure your seat.

Before we leave Women’s History Month…
Take a final look back at the women who helped you become who you are.

I think a lot about my mom—the first to lift me on her shoulders—and the many who followed.

I learned from their mentorship and example. I stood on their shoulders to see what’s possible.

The best thank you I can give is the legacy of stretching a little farther. Reaching the next level.

Whose shoulders have you stood upon?
How can you build on their legacy?

If you’re ready for bigger conversations and greater impact, I’d love to hear what you’re working on—and where you might be ready to think bigger and play bigger.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️

I realized I never paused after last week’s Think Bigger. Play Bigger. session to just say…

thank you.

The energy in that room…

the willingness to step in, to try, to stretch…

it was incredible.

And it reminded me how lucky I am to be surrounded by people who continually challenge me to be better.

If you missed it, don’t worry.

I’m working on a few new ways to bring this to more of you — and yes, it might involve stepping a little outside your comfort zone.

Because that’s where things start to change.

So stay tuned.
There’s more coming.

2025 was a remarkable year for me.

I turned 50. I grew professionally through the Hero’s Journey and Business Masterclass. I was stretched and elevated by new associations that expanded both my perspective and my professional network.

The most meaningful catalyst of my year was something people don’t always expect to see shared in a professional space: my pilgrimage to Rome as part of the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year. It was the most transformative experience of my life to date.

As I reflected on what to share after attending Christmas Mass, I found myself thinking deeply about what diversity and inclusion truly mean to me — not as concepts, but as lived values.

I am human first, before any title, role, belief, or label. Over the years, listening to people with different backgrounds and beliefs has expanded my worldview and made me better — as a leader and as a person.

I believe people do their best work when they can show up authentically, with respect, professionalism, and a shared commitment to creating value.

I’m sharing this simply as a reflection on a year that shaped me — and as a reminder that integrity, curiosity, and humanity matter.
