Pittsburgh Local 38061 bargains and enforces the contract for newsroom reporters, photographers, copy editors and artists at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Our newest unit comprises full-time professors at Point Park University, who voted overwhelmingly in June 2004 to join the Pittsburgh Guild, making us the first Guild local to represent faculty at a major university.

We voted 96-6 in favor of the union contract. It's time to celebrate!

Point Park faculty approve first-ever union contract With 94 percent approval, about 140 full-time faculty at the Downtown university will receive raises and better workload provisions.
KDKA is reporting we are voting on the proposed contract tomorrow. That is incorrect. We DISCUSS tomorrow. We VOTE Monday.

There is an information desk in front if you need assistance finding the room. **If the location changes, we will post it to every possible media outlet.
