Astronaut Pudding, a treat that is out of this world! Simply put the ingredients in a bag, seal and mix with hands. ESY students learned how astronauts, mix and eat their food from these type of containers. , , ,

ESY students were on target with this project! Goal was to hit the target using a fish line/zip line and a paper cup as their carrier for their marble. . much like NASA’s LCROSS hitting a moon crater. Way to go students!

Back to the Star Lab for the creation of comets! Our ESY students are learning about all aspects of space and this is certainly a project that shines. , ,

Each week during ESY there is either a STEM Challenge or a Mission Space activity occurring in the Star Lab room. With this particular challenge students were asked to make a "space lander" from paper that held its passenger (a marshmallow) during a drop! For this student, his made a perfect landing! , ,

Delicious! What an appetizing way for the ESY students to show the different phases of the moon. Of course there was no eating the entire cookies until the project was completed! , ,

Just like you can connect the stars in the constellations, so are the themed activities that connect to the lessons in ESY! Students are building and painting how they see earth and beyond! ,

ESY students were off with a rocket start to their space exploration by studying constellations and creating the Big Dipper from marshmallows and pieces of straw! , ,

Over this weekend, we hope that all will celebrate freedom and the importance of Juneteenth. Pace School will be closed on Monday, June 19th for the holiday.

In the idea of create, learn and grow, we would like to share out this idea for a summer activity!

Join us for Co-op Crafts with Creative Reuse!
We're planning to have a fun-filled afternoon of crafting and creativity. We'll be using recycled materials and turning them into beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. This is a perfect opportunity to get together with friends, family, or just come solo and meet new people.

The event runs 11am-1pm , We'll have all the materials, provided by Creative Reuse, all you need to bring is your imagination and creativity. Explore unique reused materials and exercise your creativity while diverting useful materials from the landfill. These workshops are open to folks with any level of artistic ability. The goal is to foster expression and creative community, not perfection. Just bring an open mind– we'll cover the rest. Leave with a finished product you'll be proud of.

The post-election tour of the newly named ducks, Fig and Newton, who came along with their mentor, Biggie! Good opportunity for students to learn about these animals. Thank you, Nurse Becky, for this teaching moment! ,

And the winner is . . . one of our own students who named Nurse Becky's special pets that reside at her home, of course! While there were many creative names submitted, Fig and Newton seem to be very happy with their new titles. . the winner received a toy duck! , ,

Still learning even in the last two days of school! . . The Laurenti classroom used their N2Y lesson on Special Olympics to make an edible torch! These yummy treats will not be making it home! , ,

After a busy week, students were able to enjoy time outside for some fun and games! So many choices for Field Day . . . an obstacle course, soccer, basketball, face painting, a sweet treat and so much more! Closed it up with some fun competition in Kickball between the students and staff! , ,

Tonight our seniors graduate but today we had our first ever Kindergarten Graduation!!! Congratulations to our students and their families and to our wonderful staff who helped to make this possible. We are so proud of all of you! ,

Volcanos, Chemistry, how do they relate to each other? The Laurenti found out during their project based chemistry lesson by learning what happens when you mix vinegar, water, baking soda and soap. . . you have a chemical reaction that can be used to make lava! , ,

Senior Spirit Week continues with a Senior Trip in a limo ride to the Pittsburgh Zoo! What a perfect day to see and learn more about the animals! A good time was had by all! , ,
