What is something you learned by making it with someone else?

The most meaningful creative moments often happen side by side: demonstrating, trying, adjusting, and trying again. The mural carries evidence of those moments in every section. ,

A Little Fresh Air & Fun! 🫧⚽️

When the weather is good, we make the most of it! Our students have enjoyed fun breaks that include bubbles, kickball, and plenty of fresh air.

While students are able to enjoy outdoor fun, we know the weather can change quickly—and when it’s too hot to be outside, we’ll find plenty of fun ways to keep the smiles going indoors! 😊

At Pace School, every opportunity to play, move, recharge, and enjoy the moment is a chance to make the day a little brighter.

Welcome the artists in the comments and share a question you would like to ask them.

Meet Elizabeth Klevens and Heather George, the artists and designers behind the Pace School mosaic. Elizabeth and Heather brought their creative vision, design expertise, technical knowledge, and hands-on craftsmanship to the project, working collaboratively with students and the Pace School community throughout the process.

From the initial concept and design through fabrication and installation, the mosaic grew through the artists' expertise and the contributions of many hands. ,

Can you identify what is taking shape?

A drawing becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes hundreds of decisions. Then, piece by piece, an image begins to emerge. Swipe to see one section of the mural move from plan to possibility. , , ,

What do you notice first: color, shape, or texture?

Sorting, comparing, choosing, and organizing are all part of making a mosaic. This moment captures the focus and collaboration behind the finished work—students making decisions that will live on the wall for years. , , ,

Which color catches your eye first?

Students explored color, texture, pattern, and possibility as they helped shape the visual language of the mural. Their choices are not decoration added at the end—they are part of the artwork’s voice. , , ,

Tag someone whose contribution makes a difference.

One tile is small enough to fit in a hand. Together, hundreds of tiles can change the feeling of an entire place. That is the power of contribution: no piece has to do everything, but every piece matters.
