Runners Love Yoga Let yoga help you to be a faster, more efficient, and less injured runner! www.runnersloveyoga.tv Do you love running? Then, you should love yoga!

Yoga is an amazing complement to running, and can make you a more efficient, faster, and stronger athlete—in addition to helping prevent injuries. By taking a time-out from competition to direct attention to your breathing and body, yoga can help with stress relief, as well as give you a better awareness of how your body is responding to practices, workouts, and competition. Athletes involved in s

ports built on the efficiency of repetitive movements, such as running, have even more to gain from yoga. While repetitive motions can reinforce existing imbalances in the body, repetitive actions themselves tend to make the body tighter and more developed in some areas than others. Many runners find that as their mileage increases, or they run more intense or hillier workouts, they become tighter. Ann has worked hard to bring time-efficient yoga and stretching routines to her students in order to allow them to maximize their athletic potential.

How I do half the work for Relay Active. 😆

Koozie is super excited about the new rose quartz collection that just launched (I’m wearing the new Kella Pocket Crop Top here), and wants to remind you that 1% of all sales go to animal rescue!

Here’s 3 little bonus movements that I love to add to a wider shorter downdog that really get your whole body! (Had to be fast with this one as the bugs were getting me! Try all of these for longer or more reps than I demo here, and you’ll have yourself a great mini flow for legs and back especially!)

Won the Brookline Breeze 5k this morning! (Also won this one >20 years ago which is just wild!)

Back in Pittsburgh for the weekend and wanted to do this one to add a little speed in (haven’t tried to run fast since my 4th of July race)! So, I’m not at my best high end speed yet (19:42) but I have a great summer base! Going to do some faster stuff more regularly as the fall approaches! Happy with this also as the humidity in Virginia almost wiped me OUT this week!! It was actually pretty horrible trying to stay hydrated enough (I’m not sure I’ve ever sweat so much in my life as I did this past week!!!) and I’m like the electrolyte drinking queen 👸 over here!

The Brookline Breeze wins the award for most wholesome community race. I love this one. The race benefits Brookline Together and you can tell Brookline really cares about Brookline as a community—just good vibes all around at this one. I also love this race because I get to run all the same roads that I did when running back at Seton LaSalle Catholic School! So hilly but I could run around here all day! At Seton, one of our runs was to go to the Brookline Community Center (where this race started) and back!

Postrace: mediterra then swimming pool (where no one was there besides us because it was cloudy)!

Outfit: Relay Active Kella Pocket Crop Top in candy apple + Madison Pocket Shorts in candy apple colorblock.

Wanted to share this which was made for me by the adopter of our 42nd kitten adopted from Relay Active kitten yoga. Rosemary and her mom adopted “Legends of the Hidden Temple” who is now named Gobi. Gobi is much beloved by his new parents and his other cat siblings too—his whole adoption was super meaningful for everyone involved. I was super happy that we made it happen!!

Being a small business owner sure isn’t easy (understatement of the year), but moments like this where you are really making a real difference in the lives of people and animals makes everything else worth it.

We’re up to 44 kittens now adopted from kitten yoga...would love to add to that number; if you’re looking to add a new BFF to the fam, come see us Relay Active activewear shop + yoga studio. Big thanks to Rosemary for making this art piece for me which is now on display in our shop/studio!

Next time you do legs up the wall, try adding in this variation! This pigeon/legs up the wall combo is a great way to more deeply target hips while *also* relaxing. This pose can look and feel very different both person to person and side to side; definitely don’t be afraid to adjust this one by sliding your torso further from the wall (less intense) OR by planting your foot further up the wall (less intense).

Come run the Brentwood Firecracker 5k with me! With the 9am start, this one is always pretty steamy!!!!

I’ve raced this one probably 15 times at a minimum so it’s firmly part of the 4th of July tradition at this point! Only 363 days until the next 4th of July!!

Is it even the 4th of July without your hometown 5k?! Love being back in Pittsburgh for the Brentwood Firecracker 5k which I’ve calculated that I’ve raced approximately 15 times!

6th woman in a more conservatively paced 19:42 because honestly this felt like racing in an oven! 🥵 VERY HOT! Also THANK YOU to anyone with a sprinkler or hose along the course—there were way more of you this year and every “water feature” along the course was much needed and appreciated! Also very excited about the postrace popsicle and cooling tent!!

Having a great day!! I freaking love the 4th of July. This holiday is so chill and has all my favorite things: Pittsburgh, a race with tons of people I know, a postrace stop at Mediterra, then straight to the pool! Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing holiday with family and friends! ❤️💙

Running into the homestretch of the Furever Homes 8k benefitting Heritage Humane Society two weekends ago! This one came on the tail end of 2 consecutive days over 100 degrees F for the high so I knew it would be a hot one, but this course featured (very thankfully!) a ton of shade through the Greensprings Trail near Jamestown High School. This was a really neat fine crushed gravel path through the woods with lots of turns and several wooden bridges too—very scenic and a great distraction from the humidity! Will definitely do this one again! Local races (especially benefitting animals!!) are the best races.
