Today marks what would have been Dr. Helen Faison’s 99th birthday. Dr. Faison was a trailblazer during her long and distinguished career as an educator and administrator with the Pittsburgh Public School District. After serving as a Distinguish Professor of Education and Chair of Chatham University Department of Education, Chatham’s Board of Trustees recognized Dr. Faison for her exceptional service and dedication with the Trustee Distinguished Service Award in 1998.
We thank Debra White Titus, MAT ‘09, pictured here, for her generous donation of this portrait, “The Faison Legacy.” The portrait commemorates the founding of the BSU Outreach Program, SHINE, in 2006. Scroll for the original group photo…

Your gift before June 30th makes all the difference for Chatham students! There are a number of ways to make an immediate impact:

💜Many students would not be able to attend Chatham without scholarships. Designate your gift for Undergraduate Scholarships or the Graduate Student Assistance Fund to lend a hand to students who need financial assistance.

💜 A gift to the Last Mile Fund gives a helping hand to students who have exhausted their loans and aid and need additional support to complete their degrees.

💜Finally, your gift to an academic program of your choice empowers our faculty and students to explore, innovate, and build a better future for all!

Thank you for supporting Chatham!
