Celebrating milestones together! 👶✨ The English Language Learning (ELL) class at Beulah Presbyterian Church recently came together to throw a beautiful baby shower for two of their students.

Since 2024, this wonderful group has been meeting to learn, grow, and build community. Thanks to a few dedicated volunteers who provide childcare during class, parents can focus fully on their lessons. We love seeing our classrooms become places of learning and deep support. đź’™

Protect Adult Education Funding! From now through June 5, we need your help to protect federal adult education funding. The Administration’s proposed FY 2027 budget again calls for eliminating this funding, which would have serious consequences for our learners and programs. This proposal is not final—Congress is now in the appropriations process, and past experience shows that coordinated advocacy works. Last year, strong participation from staff, students, volunteers, and donors helped Congress reject a similar proposal.

On May 9, a half-dozen enthusiastic new tutors attended our volunteer training at New Brighton Library in Beaver County. This was our first training in the county and Judy Pasquale, a library trustee, helped make it happen. “The thing that strikes me … there is such a demand, and the need is so great,” Judy noted. Judy and library board member Marsha Price attended a senior day event the following week and promoted our next training: August 8.
