Dear Hillman Cancer Center Postdocs,
Recently, Dr. Ferris and the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Committee for Excellence in Cancer Education and Training have committed to support the formation of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Postdoctoral Association. The primary goal of this group is to foster a sense of community amongst Postdocs, and to that end we will be having monthly happy hours (every 3rd Friday) at the Hillman Cancer Center and Magee Womens Research Institute. These are informal social/networking events with food and drink sponsored by Dr. Ferris’ office.
The first event will take place in the ground floor Atrium at the Hillman, from 5-7pm on Friday March 15th. We will also be joined by visiting professor and HCC alum, Hong Wang who was a K99 recipient in Dr. Ben Van Houten’s lab. Dr. Wang is now an Associate Professor at North Carolina State University, and will be present for informal discussion.
