Student spotlight: Khulood Al Ali

Khulood is a masters student in the college of engineering studying BME and ETIC.

How do you stay civically engaged?

“I stay civically engaged by helping to save lives and improving the quality of life in Rwanda. I spent nine weeks of my summer with Engineering World Health and I was there working in hospitals repairing medical equipment and training medical engineers and technicians in repair and safety procedures for patients safety, as well as supplying tools for repair and spare parts. I was able to have connections with local people and it gave me the feeling that I started something there and helped to create a sustainable system.”
