Bachata de Barrio is a fun workshop that builds onto your existing foundations by showing you a variety of steps, movements, and decorations that Edwin and Dakhóta have observed in different areas of Dominican Republic. Woven together like a story, you’ll pick up an idea at each stop and will end the class with a handful of new ideas to explore in your social dancing.

SUNDAY, JULY 12TH

Dance, socialize, eat, and enjoy a gorgeous summer evening by the Allegheny River.

NEW: we will be using the riverside tent, just a short walk down from where we usually dance in the pavilion. I think you’re going to love this new view. 😍🌅

LEARN: At 6pm, we return to learning Merengue, with new ideas and energies to explore!

EAT: Ilianascatering Pgh will be serving up some mouth-watering Dominican flavors. Come hungry!

ENJOY: the music will be playing from 7-9:30, and you can choose to dance it all, sit and enjoy the vibe at a picnic table (bring a blanket if you’d like to sit in the grass), socialize, admire the view, or even play dominoes!

LOCATION: Same park we love, just a new part of it: Allegheny RiverTrail Park. You will still have access to ample parking, public restrooms, two playgrounds, and gorgeous views. The tent is a 3 minute leisurely walk from the parking area. (Yes, I timed it.)
