Meet our new President of the Alumni Association Board, Matt Spadaccia '19!
Matt leads efforts in alumni networking, mentorship, community engagement, while championing several scholarships, awards, and initiatives that strengthen ties between graduates, students, and the university. A proud 2019 BFA graduate in Theatre Production with a concentration in Stage Management, Matt’s deep ties to Point Park extend beyond graduation. He previously served as Chair of the Distinguished Alumni Awards Committee where he reintroduced the award after a decade of inactivity, and as the former Patron Services Manager of the Pittsburgh Playhouse. He currently serves as Assistant Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships at Duquesne University, where he helps students navigate educational funding and achieve their academic goals.
As President, Matt’s primary goals center on strengthening and expanding the impact of the Alumni Board. He is committed to growing the Board by recruiting a more diverse and engaged group of alumni who bring fresh perspectives, professional expertise, and a shared dedication to Point Park. Equally important is expanding board involvement so that every member has meaningful opportunities to contribute. He aims to deepen participation across committees, while creating clearer pathways for members to assume leadership roles and drive initiatives that benefit both current students and fellow alumni. Through these efforts, Matt’s vision is to build a more active, inclusive, and sustainable Alumni Association Board that fosters lifelong connections and advances the mission of Point Park University.
