At GB... troubles melt like lemon drops 💛
Hello Dear Parents and Alumni!

If I were to detail the challenges Great Beginnings has overcome in the past 30 years, struggles filled with economic downturns, government strangulations, tax increases and floods, it would be a best selling adventure story in which each chapter leaves its bruises but has a happy ending and "a to be continued."

So after these 30 years, please permit me this moment of sighing and saying, "Here we go again... just when you think you've seen it all... now a pandemic."

As we go through these disturbing times, our routines, our emotions and our sense of control are disrupted. We've been turned upside down; but if history serves me right, we will emerge stronger and more committed than ever!

Each time I speak with our teachers, their first words are "I miss my babies... I can't wait to return to GB." One even said "I am never calling off again!"

So rest assured, even though we do not know the date, Great Beginnings will joyfully reopen as soon as the government gives the ok.

We're praying for you and waiting with open arms for your return. Your kindness and support are greatly appreciated.

God bless and watch over your family,
Miss Peggy
A special note from Miss Becky:

Dear Parents,

Hello, this is Miss Becky from the Allegheny County Bookmobile. I have not had the pleasure of meeting you, but I know your children from their Learning Center. I miss reading, singing, and dancing with your children. Please let your child know I miss them and can not wait to Read to them soon.

This is a stressful time for all and I would like to share some resources to help you and your child. Most of the resources I use, or have used in the past. I am using many of the resources to Home School my son. I have broken down the resources into categories to make your selections easier to explore. Walk around you neighborhood and search for the Little Lending Libraries in your community. Please enjoy what I have provided and remember just have fun with your child. You are your child's best Teacher.

Take care,
