This morning the SEA Upper School gathered for their End of Year Awards Ceremony, recognizing some of the accomplishments of our oldest students. Included in these recognitions were academic high honors, awards voted on by members of the Faculty, the Athletics Bowl and Spoon Award, and the Performing Arts Cup and Straw Award.
We were honored to welcome several of the people who either established an award, or for whom an award was named. The opportunity for our students to receive their award from these significant members of our community was especially meaningful.
We are proud of all of our students and their accomplishments, and we look forward to their leadership to come, and we’re grateful for everything they bring to the SEA community.

A highlight of our Chapel Program is the naming of a student in grades five through eight as Lead Student for the coming week. Recognition is given to one who, through word and deed, exemplifies the values for which St. Edmund’s Academy stands. Chosen this week is Evelyn H. ‘27
Evelyn, you bring incredible energy, creativity, and determination to everything you do. You are an ambitious student who dreams big and works hard to achieve your goals, both in the classroom and in your commitments outside of school. While you can sometimes be quick to act, it has been great to see how reflective you are and how much you have grown in making thoughtful, mature choices. You are a diligent and thoughtful learner who takes care in your work, whether you are carefully analyzing texts, evaluating questions, or contributing insightful ideas during class discussions. You are not afraid to share your thinking, and you bring curiosity and depth to conversations about both academic topics and important real-world issues. Just as importantly, you are a kind and caring person who looks out for others. You bring joy and positivity to the classroom, include those around you, and are always willing to help, no matter who it is.
Evelyn, your big heart, strong work ethic, and growing self-awareness make you someone others look up to. You should be very proud of the growth you have shown this year.
For these and all of your other positive qualities, we proudly name you for the summer.

This morning we welcomed the Class of 2034 to our Weekly Gathering at Chapel for the first time. Our Kindergarten class processed in this morning with their 8th Grade buddies and then heard about some of our favorite things that they'll experience next year. They joined us for the Community Song, learned about the Lead Student medallion, and received their first commendation.
We're excited to see you in the front pews next year, Kindergarten!
