Our Pervasive Polyploidy workshop explores how changes in genome number impact everything from the cell cycle and organism function to population-level effects. Connect structure and function across scales (DNA to ecosystems) through authentic, hands-on investigations.

Calling all High School Students: we are looking for science-minded individuals to join our summer 2026 GENE TEAM! This program runs for ~4 weeks and gives you access to state-of-the-art research methodologies and resources that will help you prepare for college.
Student participating in the program are eligible to receive:
đ A free PRT bus pass for the duration of the program if transportation is needed
đ˛A $1,000 honorarium upon full completion of the program

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jakob Sirlin. Jakob participated in Gene Team in 2023 and was inquisitive, hard-working, and a friend to everyone. He will be deeply missed.

Congratulations Gene Team!! After a month of curiosity, collaboration, and hard work, our Gene Team students wrapped up their journey with a fantastic final presentation today. Weâve watched them grow as thinkers, teammates, and scientists and couldnât be more proud. Hereâs to the questions theyâll keep asking and the futures they are building! đŤ
