Tuft Little Creations is growing, and I’m ready to build something bigger than a business.

TLC combines fiber arts + creativity + mental wellness to create hands-on experiences that help young people build confidence, connection, emotional regulation, and self-expression. Now I’m looking for someone who wants to build with me.

Someone who is:
• Creative
• Entrepreneurial
• Community-minded
• Ready to grow
• Passionate about making an impact

You don’t have to know everything about fiber arts. I’m looking for someone who brings their own strengths, ideas, connections, or expertise and wants to help turn TLC into something truly special.

If this sounds like you, or you immediately thought of someone who would be a great fit, DM me!
Let’s create something meaningful together. 💙

After all the mess came the results… some areas turned out exceptionally, others not so much. On some parts the glue completely resisted the dye. On other parts the dye saturated the glue and bled through. The black dye didnt take at all, not sure why. I guess I also didn’t dissolve a couple of the colors all the way and got powdered specs throughout. I also did the design on the outside of the collar and neglected the inside 😩 I do like the shirt on it’s own though, it’s taken a week to grow on me 😅

I found this really nice quilted button up and immediately thought it would look cool with an old skool retro gaming design with a portal on the back, but couldn’t decide where to start. Here we are… The plan for now is to bleach the blocks, paint, the outline in glow in the dark. There are probably way easier ways to do a mock up, but this is the way my brain processed this design using illustrator. The blocks on the mock up match the number and position of blocks on the actual sweater 😅

I really want to make some pins now 😅 Does anyone else dread pulling out their Cricut but then when you do you’re like “well that wasnt so bad”?

Didn’t take very long to get back to “well this is enough of that”... 🤣

Glue batiks are dyed! As well as the shirt and pants I was wearing 😩 I did not do any tests.
Honestly if the color turns out funky I’ll dye them again both black. The glue also was wet and sticky so not sure about the dye resist effect. This took long than expected and was way messier than expected so hopefully I get some decent results from it 🤞🏾

Today has been exciting. Finally making some progress on dialing in these 3d printing settings (hoping not to jinx it as there’s still a few hours left on the print 😩) The composition book shacket is in its final stages, the glue batik is dry and ready for dye! Had success with digitizing and using the bigger machine to make larger patches.
All of these tasks are very time consuming and failure is certainly a part of the process, butI realized that when I work on different interesting projects my motivation doesn’t take as a big of a hit when something doesn’t work out how I planned.

Day 2 of prepping this shirt for dye. I finally decided how I am going to upcycle this shirt for my composition notebook jacket. Attempting a
“glue batik” method to get the print. Originally | was just going for the sleeves since the crochet vest will go on top, but this way the shirt and vest can be worn separately as well! Snuck some Beams on there too... The different colors mean nothing, my eyes just got tired of looking at one thing 😂

I need to finish another project by hand painting the sleeves, but the my friend perfectionism is stealing some of that motivation. Abstract art is a great way to move beyond those perfectionistic tendencies. It helps you accept “what is” for what it is and “what will be” as an exciting new discovery.
