Did you know? 🤔

Governor Tom Wolf and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman have announced a new Ma*****na Pardon Project for anyone convicted of Possession of a Small Amount of Ma*****na - 35 Pa.C.S. §780-113(a)(31).
This new Pardon Project only applies to stand alone Small Amount convictions. It does not include, for example, Paraphernalia or any other criminal offenses. Also - there is a limited window to apply for a pardon. All applications MUST be submitted by September 30, 2022.

Wyomissing (Pennsylvania) has been taking donations the last 6 weeks for the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. They’ve raised 2k total for local animals in need.
They have collected enough money via in-store donations to sponsor ALL THE DOGS TO BE ADOPTED!
They just might clear the shelter on Friday May 13th!
Check out BerksARL.org for a listing of all the dogs that need homes.
The Wyomissing team is incredible. ❤️ 🐶

HOW TO CONTACT THE MMJ ADVISORY BOARD
There is now (finally) a way to directly share your comments with the Pa Medical Ma*****na Advisory Board.
On the Department of Health website, at the bottom of every page, there is a link that says "contact us" (on the bottom left in a blue box). When you click on that link it will take you to a form.
The first question will ask you to "Select the most appropriate category for your inquiry from the list below". Click on the down arrow and select “Medical Ma*****na Advisory Board”.
Submitted forms with that option selected will be routed to someone in the program office who will then: confirm that the information was in fact meant for the Board and once confirmed, compile the feedback onto a spreadsheet that will be provided to Board members prior to their next scheduled meeting.
Please keep in mind, any personally identifying information will be removed prior to the feedback being shared with the Board, so submitters should not expect a response from the Board. All of this will be explained to the submitter in a reply message they will receive upon submitting feedback.
It would work best to clearly identify your specific concerns and suggestions in your comment.
General vague statements like “the program sucks” might make you feel better, but will do NOTHING to influence Board members to make improvements to the program.
Remember, the Advisory Board does not control, direct, or administer the day to day operations of the program. That is the job of the Office of Medical Ma*****na, Department of Health.
From the Medical Ma*****na Act, the duties of the Board are as follows:
(1) To examine and analyze the statutory and regulatory law relating to medical ma*****na within this Commonwealth.
(2) To examine and analyze the law and events in other states and the nation with respect to medical ma*****na.
(3) To accept and review written comments from individuals and organizations about medical ma*****na.
(4) To issue written reports to the Governor, the Senate and the House of Representatives. ((4) amended June 30, 2021, P.L.210, No.44)
(5) The written reports under paragraph (4) shall include recommendations and findings as to the following:
(i) Whether to change the types of medical professionals who can issue certifications to patients.
(ii) Whether to change, add or reduce the types of medical conditions which qualify as serious medical conditions under this act.
(iii) Whether to change the form of medical ma*****na permitted under this act.
(iv) ((iv) deleted by amendment).
(v) How to ensure affordable patient access to medical ma*****na.

Today members from SW PA teams volunteered with The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy group and the University of Pittsburgh to plant a dozen red bud trees in Oakland to celebrate “Be a good neighbor” day!
Together, we’re making a difference and helping to make Western Pennsylvania a greener and more sustainable place to live and raise a family.
Our and Sunnyside Dispensary teams will participate in more opportunities with the Western PA Conservancy group on April 16th and April 30th.
