Dear Friends,

Lotus Blossom Birth Services is evolving. I am accepting new clients, but I am taking a new direction by focusing primarily on consulting and doula services.

As a mother who experienced hyperemesis gravidarum in both of my pregnancies, I know how important it is to have someone dedicated to nurturing and nourishing our families. As a prenatal doula, I offer this important service including whatever mama needs, such as: nutritional guidance/meal planning, food shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, assistance with children, emotional support, etc. These services are equally important during the postpartum period when your family is going through the exhilarating but exhausting transition of welcoming your new baby. Along with helping to sustain your family, as a postpartum doula, I provide breastfeeding support, education about healing your body, infant care, babywearing, etc.

Please, share our good news with your mama and papa friends who are looking for support and guidance for their growing families.

A sweet baby boy joined us early this morning. He weighed 8lbs 10oz and is 21" long- more than a pound bigger than his big sister whose birth I witnessed two years ago! Can't wait to hear his name! :-)

But her "4th Trimester Bodies Project" -- a photo series that embraces the changes brought to women’s bodies by motherhood -- is revealing in a very different sense.

Updating the website got me thinking - I'd love some testimonials to share. So, if you've got something you'd like to say about your experience as a client of mine (or just as an unlucky friend who got stuck listening to me rant about breastfeeding, babywearing, birthing options, carseat safety, etc. that perhaps benefited you in some way), please feel free to post it here or send me a message with your thoughts.

Carter Daniel was born in the caul at 6:05 am, weighing 7lbs11oz and 19.75" long. Such an honor to be asked to catch him less than 2 years after catching his big sister. His mama was amazing, yet again.

A perfect start to this beautiful (HOT) day - we welcomed 7lbs 10oz Frida! A true waterbaby - she was looking around and swimming before greeting her delighted parents at the surface. So excited for big sister Selah and the whole family :-D

Forest and I had a great night welcoming deliciously dimpled Asa James - 9lbs 10oz and 20.75" long. Mommy and Daddy caught him in the tub :-) We are so happy for their whole family (especially his older siblings who will meet him this morning). Special thanks to Meghan for her amazing help with Forest
