The Irene Kaufmann Center (East End)

The Irene Kaufmann Center (East End) a page to honor the nurturing and good humor of our first school Intermarriage was present but rare.

The East End IKCs grounded its (very) young men and women in lifelong maturity through models of good citizenship (Yankee Doodle Dandy without explanation) creative expression (fingerpaints) dispute resolution (paddle) morality (closed for Yom Kippur) and higher pedagogy (back yard slide). Although many who trained there in the 1950s turned away from the East End IKCs during its gutteryears (1968-

1973) former students have now fed into Earth's twentyfirst century class of professional thinkers and doers and most report they are pretty satisfied with themselves thank you very much.
