Teaching kids how to ride safely, increases the amount of riding kids do (as well as keeps them safer!)
Bikeability-trained kids cycle more, finds study School kids who have undertaken Bikeability training use their bicycles more frequently than untrained children of the same age.

The last page of comments, dated September 27, 2013, are an interesting read. Apparently this rider conducted a significant senior-year project on bike safety in Cranberry citing an incident revolving around the essential "as far right as is practicable" rule.
