2020 Congressional Art Competition 05/12/2020

My office is once again hosting the Congressional Art Competition, but we are adapting to social distancing guidelines and moving to an all-digital submission format. Last year, I was blown away by the creativity of the young people in our district and feel that now more than ever it’s important to provide students with an outlet to express their thoughts and ideas. The annual competition is open to high school students in grades 9-12 living in PA-17, and I encourage all interested students in the district to participate this year. All submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020 via e-mail to [email protected], and a complete list of rules and regulations can be accessed here. https://lamb.house.gov/services/art-competition

Please stay safe and I encourage you to follow the health and safety guidelines issued by your jurisdiction.

Sincerely,

Conor Lamb
Member of Congress

Congratulations to Penn Hills senior, Skye Coto, for winning 3rd place at the nationwide 2019 Congressional Art Competition for Pennsylvania’s 17th District. Her watercolor, entitled "A Journey to the Urban Rain Forest" will hang in Representative Connor Lamb's offices for the next year. Skye was also recently awarded a $500 scholarship from PHAME and will attend the Pittsburgh Technical College to study graphic design. Congratulations Skye on all your successes! (far right.)
