I want to send my condolences to the AAMI family and Miss Pam. I am truly at a loss for words. Dr. Johnson was my son's music teacher and mentor. He helped my son build confidence with his singing and performances. We visited him a few weeks ago in the hospital and Dr. Johnson spoke encouraging words to my son. He even asked my son about his monologue competition he is entering. Dr. Johnson taught right from the hospital bed. He told my son to stand up straight, speak clearly, and say his monologue so he could see it. Dr. J had my son say his lines over ten times until he got it right. This moment will stay in my heart. Dr. J truly cared about the kids at AAMI. He taught them discipline and poise. He will truly be missed. He is singing is heaven now. I am sure God gave him his crown and said, "Well Done".

The lost art of CURSIVE may not be lost for long. Cursive was removed as a teaching requirement in U.S. schools back in 2010. But nowโฆ thereโs a push to make teaching cursive mandatory once again in PA schools.
What do you think... should we bring back cursive? Or let it fade away?

Black History Fact โ Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture
Did you know the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem began as a small collection donated by Arturo Schomburg, a Puerto Rican-born Afro-Latino historian and collector?
In the early 20th century, Schomburg assembled books, manuscripts, prints, and artifacts documenting the histories and achievements of African-descended peoples worldwide. His donation to the New York Public Library in 1926 became the foundation of the Schomburg Collection, which officially opened as the Schomburg Collection of Negro History and Literature in 1932 and later grew into todayโs Schomburg Center โ a world-renowned research hub, archive, and cultural institution celebrating Black history, arts, and culture.
Quick highlights:
Arturo Schomburg began collecting because he couldnโt find materials about Black achievement in mainstream collections.
The collection joined the NYPL in 1926 and opened to the public in the 1930s.
The Schomburg Center now holds millions of items and hosts exhibitions, public programs, and research services.
Share this to celebrate the legacy of preserving and honoring Black histories.
