Please join us in welcoming Jayne Miller, President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to the Pittsburgh community:

For Jayne, parks are what she loves. To say someone eats, breathes and lives their work is most aptly applied to Jayne. As President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy her dedication is clear. “I believe in strong communities, which are anchored by thriving park systems that enable emotional, intellectual and physical development,” she says. With roots in upstate New York, Miller was connected to parks at a young age. “They inspired my active lifestyle and belief about strong community infrastructure.” Jayne cultivated that connection with parks and went on to become Superintendent of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Under Miller’s leadership, the Minneapolis Parks system was named #1 among U.S. park systems for the last five of Miller’s seven years by the Trust for Public Land. Jayne calls Pittsburgh the next rising star when it comes to best parks systems in the country. “As a park system leader, I’m committed to bringing all of Pittsburgh’s parks to the same standard of excellence.”
