Update on Carlow University and St. Agnes Church

While we tend to focus on the architect of a building, we think that the builders of our historic fabric deserve credit as well. Patrick F. Gallagher of Duquesne Construction Company was the builder of St. Agnes Church. Gallagher helped to build many schools and churches in Pittsburgh, including Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Shadyside and St. Boniface Church on the North Side. I saw someone started an online petition to save St. Agnes from the wrecking ball. Things like this are great in terms of demonstrating public support, but we can’t stop here.

Please save this building, beautiful architecture, built in the 1800's. Will this be another historic site Doomed for the WRECKING BALL? Like all the homes in
